I'll take that fairly bare system off your hands if the price isn't too out of line. Do please let me know when you decide what you want to ask for it. Might be interested in the printer too if whomever bites on the nice system doesn't want it.

At least one of them has; don't see the other (yet). Another seller, biff_howard_tanen (whom I've bought Convergent gear from in the past) has also put up a H8 today with some nice drives with it, for 5K.

I'll drop out of this one. I hope the seller is able to get what he's asking. $2500 for that bare system is at least 5x too much. There's a complete system with terminal, printer, enough cards to actually run the machine, and disk drive unit, listed in Montana for $1500.

Yeah, if it got down into the $500 range I could get interested for my "project".
I have seen a few go for as much as $2500 on eBay, but one was loaded with less-common tritronyx boards.

Wow, someone on a mailing list just pointed out that an unbuilt H8 recently sold for $2200. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185641209841. Unbuilts usually go for substantial premium (an unbuilt Heathkit GC-1000 clock recently auctioned for $3K).
Wish I'd have seen that Unbuilt H8 when it came up. I'd have found a way...

Congrats. There have been some extraordinary deals for sellers lately and some extraordinary deals for buyers. Those of us following the auctions have seen both extremes. I'm not in the market for a primary system myself anymore (though I'd certainly grab a backup) as I picked up what I wanted at the price I wanted about 3 months ago. H8s are a blast.
However, I am looking for a DRAM card. If you're the buyer of Vasi0011's system which I believe had this card, please send me a message. I'd like to get some high resolution pictures of the DRAM board that was in it. More info to be posted in the "wanted" thread.

I am selling a fully loaded H8. It's got serial board, memory board, controller board... I think it's got everything that Heathkit offered for the H8 computer. I'm selling a Zenith terminal and floppy drives with it. It comes with a TON of documentation, and software, including HDOS, FORTRAN, BASIC, and what have you.
