Help needed for unknown SBC by Fuji Xerox with HD64180 and MC68HC11, used in RANK XEROX 8M6

Hi,
I salvaged this controller board labelled as PWB ASSY CONTROL 140K70271 TPB-S.V0, from a panel named 8M6 by ZEROX. I think this 8M6 was used as a control device for a professional copier or printer. Date codes on the chips range from 1990 to 1994.

The board is interesting as it has two processors (HD64180 (a Z180) and 68HC11), 32K RAM and 32K (label 573P III02 DUT) and 8K EPROM, IO and a Hitachi LCD controller (HD61830B00) with 8K RAM. So a perfect SBC.
However, I have not been able to find any documentation on the 8M6 or the 140K70271 board itself. Currently I am slowly working on the disassembly of the EPROM for the HD64180.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Well Rank Xerox was no longer a thing after the buyout in 1997. So this predates that. Not much help, but something...

It is obviously a sophisticated digitizing tablet for the Japanese market ca. 1993.
You align the sheet to the upper right of the surface
Unfortunately, web searching in 2025 is utter crap.

It's interesting how it wants you to plant the page in the corner before drawing on it with the stylus.

A high-resolution picture of the buttons on the working surface would be helpful
in figuring out what is supposed to be used for. The other thing I just thought of
is it may be for a different market depending on the language there.

It is also likely this is part of a larger system connected to it through the 40 pin
connector.

I have the same device and also don't have ideas how to use it in 2026.
Yes, this looks like some kind of digitizer with pen, some ISO-7816-like smart card is needed (Job Memory Card). Also I know that it was a part of some CAD system.

I'll add some photos of my unit, may be this will somehow help to identify it.

I assume it was sold worldwide, as my board has user interface texts in Dutch. The board owned by idc has texts in English. So it obviously has been localized for different regions.

This includes a partially commented source code for the HD64180.
