I have about eight or so assorted IBM PC (5-slot), XT (8-slot) motherboards,
and Taiwanese turbo XT clones. The IBM ones are assorted part nr. and
PCB colors.

Some of these were tested and do work. A couple tantalum caps blew up, which
I removed, and then they worked. After filling the place with smoke I didn't
bother testing the rest. A few might be missing a couple of chips, I didn't
review them carefully.

They all fit tightly in a Priority Mail large Flat Rate box with NO PACKING WHATSOEVER.
I can mail them via that method within USA for a $25 PayPal.

The lot is free for local pickup in Bethesda MD USA (north side of DC Beltway).

Downsizing and have to get this stuff out of here.
They go in the county electronics recycling on Tuesday, 20 August.

If you're interested please send me a private msg or email through the forum.

I thought all XTs had 8 slots.

You know that a 256K board can be converted to a 640K board in a few minutes, don't you?

Have any 8 slot IBM XT boards that are working? Preferably the 256-640k Variant.

Yes, there is one like that in the box.
I've pulled it out and am giving it a burn-in test.
It had 256K on it. I've filled it up to 640K and will let it run overnight.

I found a two-pack of those 74LS158 multiplexer chips that are used in this procedure. They are still in their package from Active Electronics (which disappeared from sight around here more than ten years ago). That was a great place. I used to find all the little components in stock there all the time. I liked that way better than online/mail ordering. :)

These motherboards are all spoken for. Thanks for saving them from the dump.
