Hi, my name is Roberto Chichiarelli and I'm a big fan of retrocomputing, expecially of the 70s and 80s. I own a rare condition IBM 5362, working and complete with terminal, green phosphor screen and keyboard, all also working and in excellent condition. However, when I try to boot the operating system from the computer control panel, the IPL, gives an error and, according to the manual, the IPL is absent or missing from the hard disk, and requires an 8 inch floppy disk called "IPL Diagnostic". Could you provide me with more information about this, if perhaps you have a physical copy or digital file? I've already contacted the guys of the https://www.largescalesystemsmuseum.org/, and waiting for a feedback. Thank you very much for the support and your constant daily work.

Hi Al Kossow, I am having the same HDD and FDD issues on my S/36 (5362). Is it possible you can send me an invite to the discord channel also please?

Hi Robic, can you tell me if you were able to resolve the HDD and/or FDD issues please?
Hi abeone,
Unfortunately, I haven't spent more time with my beloved 5362 due to free time and the sensitivity of the issue, as in my case I believe opening the very delicate HDD is unavoidable. However, I have a lot of documentation on the subject; if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.
I'm currently working on a Mac SE FDHD with a fairly serious but obvious problem. Here's the link to the post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Robic! I wish I could help on your Mac issue, but unfortunately I have no experience with Mac.
