I like that printer so much that I brought it new back in the early 1990s for about USD $750. I had to adjust the printer setting to print wee bit lighter on my Microsoft Windows environment globally instead of default setting due to excessive ink printing causing to wrinkle a bit. By the time I had to move a smaller home, I had to get rid of it since I have colour laser printer

Edited: Yep. A quick google of the cartridge part number implies Lexmark.

Going way back, they previously rebadged the Canon PJ-1080A as the IBM 3852 as well.

Edited: Yep. A quick google of the cartridge part number implies Lexmark.

IBM spin off to Lexmark International, but the consumable part continues under Lexmark brand. I had to buy the cartridge from Lexmark International when it took over.

My late father brought this printer new and use it frequently. After my father's death, my mother continues to use it until the toner cartridge sensor spine broke. We had to get rid of that printer

I always wanted one of those laser printers but my school district would not release them when they were replaced. I ended up with a later Lexmark laser printer instead for a few good years.
