Have 2 boxes Written IBM S36, as seems to be from a S36 system.
All Original IBM Green label Disks
I have started to read them in.
Looking at Volumes couple er not complete sets, well could be some day show up some where.

As I can't read them and they also are EBCDIC coded. There are converters , have to see if there is a
complete converter software available,

So far the list. I scanned and attach as ZIP.

question?
Is it something to save? fi Bitsavers?

yes, the COBOL disks and Displaywrite/36 in particular

it is easy to tell if an 8" disk is double sided. it should say 2D on
the label and the index hole is in a different position from single-sided
diskettes

These are in process:
Need to get Imd files from that old pc.

IBM System 36, 8 Inch disks 25-30
See above the list the Zip contains.

And nobody tolled me ImageDisk through the option
IMDV image.IMD [Options]
Where option; /E -use Ebdcdic display

As those S36 are in EBDICDIC-code...

By then I just can walk through the Image file and through the sectors of the disk.
And by a complete miracle, I can read the contends, WOW
Never knew that.
Ok ok there is a rule; "R.F.M."... LoL
So I did for ones, cause I wanted to know something else.

Was using this site to manually try to convert some data to something readable, to see if there is
something worth saving.

So now time to read in the bunch of personal Data FFDs and see if that is of some worth saving.

Problem with collecting used FFD''s , is you don't want to wipe out important data, even though you at the moment
have not the equipment it was used for.
Who knows, in what time an unit is at my front door....
Or when the time is there finally that IBM 6580 Display Writer got to work.
As I know few streets away who has that machine.

Any way I need some FFDs for the PDP8/M.
(No, the org IBM's will not be the ones)
