Hi, I'm finally getting around to selling a low-serial number Imsai 8080 (made in 1975 or early 1976) I have in my garage (It's going up on ebay, will post it somewhere here on the forum when the listing goes up).
The Imsai has an white ceramic Intel C8080A, and the only markings are:
- large letter "i" (for intel)
- C8080A
- 0051A
All the other older Intel chips I've seen have a date code of YYWW, where YY is year and WW is week of year made. I have no idea how to interpret "0051A".
Photo attached. Anyone have any ideas?
