Is the "Tapuino" PET compatible?

I was wondering if anyone has actually tried using the tapuino/tapecart64 on a PET?

It fits the c2n so its electronically compatible, its just a question of whether the software behaves properly so it works on all cbm machines. I know it implements a special turbo load menu for the c64, but does it implement the simpler basic2 disk type protocol for loading?

ie, something like these commands should work:

LOAD "$",1
LIST

LOAD "NAME",1

etc..

ok digging a little further, I think the tapuino, which has an lcd screen/buttons can work with a pet/v20 etc, but the cheaper tapecart64 doesn't because it has no display/buttons, and needs a c64 loader to communicate with the tapecart to display the prog list, select a prog etc. This menu program could be ported to the PET, v20 etc, but hasn't been yet.

But im not really sure about all this!
tech info here:

Is it using something like one of those $2 "blue pill" type computers?

If the loader was ported, it would be a cheap program loading/transfer option for the PET, compared to the £100 or so the SD-to-IEEE converters cost.
