Kaypro 2X RIFA - a long run

Well, it looks like my 1984 Katpro 2X's RIFAs just blew. Loud crackling and lots of smoke, but it kept running. ASTEC AA 12450, but can't see any obvious culprit. Probably going to have to pull the P/S., which means pulling a lot more. Is it the cap right next to the fuse?
 
Remove what is left of the blown caps. They are likely caps used in the power supply on the mains side to suppress conducted emissions. Can you still watch television with out the caps or is there any other evidence of radio interference?
 
A new PSU should not cost more than $30. I replaced my Boschert with a MeanWell RPT-75B last week, and I think it was worth the cost and effort. Two RIFAs had been replaced by the previous owner, but some electrolytics looked like they were bulging a little.

Regarding rfi, the basic user manual of my Kaypro II/83 describes to what standard the device is certified.

My plan is to either replace the PSU or replace (all, of course) the RIFA caps. I'm just not in that big of a hurry, so will consider options. I just thought I had a good run, having bought this 2X new in 1984. Of course, it has spent large tracts of time unused. No "barn storage" but it did spend some recent time in a house that froze (I'm talking indoor temps near 0°F). It is a rather dramatic event - first time I've seen that. I have seen large electrolytics turn into geysers - which is much worse.

Regarding RFI, I'm not sure there's any broadcast TV or radio being received anywhere near me. I have a couple old vacuum-tube AM radios, I guess I could turn them on and see. It certainly will have no effect on my fiber-optic services.
 
Here you go -- from your favorite Digikey. Comprehensive datasheet attached. You will need a couple of Molex plugshells, and the insert connectors to attach the leads to it.

Thanks! Yeah DigiKey is my "neighborhood" source. I can often order in the morning via standard shipping and it will be delivered the next day. But that's just due to luck of proximity. But I also tend to reference their stock when I need, since I trust their info. It's usually pretty easy to find alternate suppliers from the info they provide.
