We all have had the bad feelings brought on by the demise of a precious PC.What meaning can be had from it's final "Power On"?It's an affirmation of"Life" in it's most abstract form.
The old PCs we cherish, are "Alive" to us in the abstract sense. We all enjoy the thrill of a successful boot cycle. It's only natural that we ascribe some form of "Being" to these otherwise "inanimate" objects. What then,is the purpose?
I believe that we all feel a kinship to these pieces of technology. It's a bond that goes way beyond the norm.
What we feel is as an affirmation is the "Functionality" of technology.

**WARNING,PERSONAL IDEAS ARE EXPRESSED**

That which has gone before is the basis for the rise of "New Tech". It's inevitable, just like the Sun's rise.As a species we are Driven to push the boundaries of the possible.
What does this mean in the context of "Vintage PCs"?
It is an affirmation of "Life" in it's most primal sense. What is done to rebuild and re-purpose "Old Tech"is the precursor of "New Tech".
If the past is forgotten, then the Future is ungrounded. An ungrounded Future is the very anathema of progress.
We then,as "Guardians of the Past",are the Foundation of the Future.Make no mistake. We are the firm ground on which the "Wonders" of the Future will rise.
This then is our "Mission".To be the link to the past in which almost every thing that is,was existent.
There lies our legacy to the future and our "Passion".
