Lets see what vintage computer folks look like

Yep, Norton Commando 850. Thing was in the shop 50% of the time. I traded it in on a Camero after about 18 months before my motorcycle luck ran out. I had to dump it only once when a stupid driver had to use the entire intersection to make the turn at 45 mph.

Or how 'bout when some idjit backs a van out of a driveway right in front of ya (I waz doin 'bout 45)? (Honest, ocifer, I didn't even see daFrickin motorsickle)...
I haven't ridden since, (except for packin' a few timez with my friend, going to some bar or another), and I can still show ya exactly where all three pinz in my knee are located. Mebbe I'll ride again someday (although I'm still scared sh!tless). I almost bought a bike this summer, but lost out when someone else came up with the bread before I did. (I really liked dat scoot, too).

The one I'm really tryin to get belongs to my S/O's son. He's got a Kawi, 535cc, V-twin, shaft-drive "Virago", that has been in storage for about 3 yearz now, with a dead battery, bald-headed tires, and a blown head gasket, (and the carbs could stand a rebuild). That is one sweet machine, but so far, I haven't been able to convince him to part with 'er, in spite of all the work she needs. (I've always called it hiz "Viagra" machine)...

Yes Yes I have drooled over those in the past myself. On the lighter side, to resist temptation, remember my biker friend who cut a VW in half with his Harley. (Uh NO, he didn't survive the experience). Was some 60ish old lady driving the VW, pulled right out in front of him. This was a long long time ago now.

I lost a friend to a veedub once too. He was driving along, all by himself, onna bumpy dirt road, when the rusted-out floor-pan of his VW dropped out from under him. They say he waz cut completely in two, right across daMiddle.

Hey Chuck, how is that "the lighter side"?!

I just bought a 1984 Honda Magna V30 (500cc water-cooled V4). It's in awesome shape, but yeah, it was sitting for a few years and we've had to go through the entire fuel system chasing various bits of muck. I did manage to ride it a few times before figuring out the fuel pump is flaky. The new one should be here on Monday.

You don't want to see what I look like...

Ok, ok, here you go:

Me standing behind my car in my old work uniform - a gold star if you can identify what sort of car I'm standing behind.

Me during my guest appearance on South Park, hahaha!

That's more then enough I think. Sorry for frightening you all 8-)

My guess is a Ford Mustang judging by the tail lights. The trim looks like that I've seen on 88' GT's, but the lights underneath look like the lights from the late 70's/early 80's LX.

Hehehe, nope, I wish it was a mustang, although I'm happy with it. Earlier models (late 60s, 70s) did share some parts, but mine is an '85 model (so it's regarded as 'vintage' too, lol), so no mustang parts in it at all I'm afraid. :(

IT almost looks like an escort. when they had nearly the same bosdy as the mustangs, the body style is called the "fox-body"

Ford .. Fairlane? (without googling on Aussie Fords)

Getting closer... In fact the aussie '85 Fairlane shares so many of its parts the manual covers both models, the only real differences being some body panels. In fact, my car has the (digital) instrument cluster from an '85 Fairlane in it...

This is turning out to be a fun (and interesting) game :)

It probably helps that I removed all the badges from the rear of the car asides from the Ford badge 8)

I barely remember the European Ford models: Fiesta, Escort/Orion, Sierra, Taunus, Granada (some of those are from different generations or overlap). A friend of mine had an old Granada which would load tons of soda or beer if you folded the back seat. I'm sure it could load twice as much in volume than it was allowed to carry measured in weight.
