Living Computer Museum, Seatle

Does anyone have any info about the possibility of Living Computer Museum reopening? I see the web site message about their "temporary" closure has not been updated since they first closed.. I think many of us have not been very optimistic about their future. I continue to think of them with fond memories of the two Vintage Computer Festivals hosted there and am hoping against all odds that someone has some encouraging news.

There's been a discussion about this on cctalk. The consensus seems to be that the collection will be dispersed or scrapped.

I'm not surprised, But that's not the news I was hoping for.

When I spoke to the head of collections last August, he was very optimistic that it would reopen.

I spoke to the head of LCM+L collections again a few weeks ago. In the phone call he hinted that the museum would open up in 2022 in conjunction with another Seattle festival,

Now I don't want to be the one to rain on the party but lets not get too hyped up this fast as we've heard rumors of reopening before. While it is good news to hear that we can be a little less optimistic about a permanent closure we still need to hear a more public announcement regarding the future. Anything can happen in the next six months.
