Looking for info on this Extel ComWriter Jr.
I've only found ONE piece of documentation for this teletype terminal, which is the installation manual. https://www.navy-radio.com/manuals/misc/extel-comwriter-jr-installation.pdf
It can do half duplex or full duplex communication. There appears to be two versions of this terminal, one with the big Molex connector, and one with RJ11 connectors. I'm hoping to be able to connect this to a modem on another computer to demonstrate teletype, if anybody has tips on that. I don't have the monitor, but the terminal outputs a standard composite signal, so that's not an issue. By sheer coincidence, I happened to have a compatible 3.9v 3-pin battery, so storing it's settings shouldn't be an issue. I assume the printer connector is compatible with a standard PC printer, but that's not important at the moment. My main issue at the moment is the power supply.
So the sticker on the back is a bit deceptive, the terminal itself doesn't take 115v AC power, that would be the external power supply brick. I need voltages and current, if anybody familiar with the system can provide that. I've figured which pins are ground and +5v, and one of them is N/C, but I don't know what voltage the last one on the left (looking from the back) is supposed to be, or if it's negative or positive.
If there's schematics available, or any other documentation, that'd also be handy. The voltages are the important thing at the moment though.
Thanks.
