Hi guys,
I've got an old Micro Express PCIII portable computer. I'm trying to troubleshoot the problem. The computer turns on a I get to the post screen where its checking everything and then about 20 seconds later I loose video. If I turn it off and on again nothing comes up. If I wait 10mins then turn it on again It boots the post then 20 seconds later I loose video.
So I stripped it all down to the bare essentials, VGA graphics card and motherboard. Get the same results. I've inspected the board visually but cant see any damage. Battery is external AAA pack so no leaks. I cant find any documentation on this machine and I don't know what motherboard its got either. Its using a 286 16mhz CS80C286-16 Harris CPU.
Any ideas? It's not the graphics card as I have replaced the original card with a fully tested and working VGA card.
