Monitor on eBay

here is a bit of info on this monitor:

Commodore: 1201

The Commodore 1201 is a monochrome monitor which has a 10" Amber display in a dark grey cased with carry-handle cut-out moulded in.

Connectors on the rear:
RCA Video In
RCA Audio In

On the front:
Brightness slimline control knob
Contrast slimline control knob
This monitor was marketed during Commodore's 8bit period and works with many Commodore machines, although of course only in monochrome including the C128, A600 and A2000 in mono-composite out. It has a sharp display with overscan areas and is very light and compact.

Wild. Wonder if they were even sold in the US ? Too bad it's in Australia, I wouldn't mind having one. Sort of looks like a 1701 and a TRS80 had offspring.

This isn't anything new, rather, I deje'd (age, figured) and the google'd, the 1201, and all I found was the same info from 'vic user', so it looks like there weren't that many of them out there.
So, just what the hell is it ?
Saw the CDTV post, wouldn't that have been later ?(But, I'm guessing, here, having never owned the elusive( well, to me at least ) Comodore CDTV setup.
