I have an MB-1433150UCV-E motherboard I am trying to get working and am trying to figure out how best to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.

The issue is with the rtc - battery state low. Perhaps this is a basic question but can I simply insert a 3 volt holder and battery or will I need to replace the rtc? I have read different posts about replacing the rtc and that is not a problem if it is the only solution.

In the empty space where there is usually a battery it says

int rtc: 1-2
ext rtc: 2-3

I don't see an rtc labeled jumper. I also can't locate jp8 which seems to be referenced in the setup files linked below.
I would assume the int. is the current installed rtc. As a third battery option, there seems to be placement with three solder points for an external battery pack.

can easily get 3v battery and holder... hoping it will possibly be a solution but not sure.

From what I see, that board can either support a real-time clock chip with external battery or an all-in-one DALLAS chip. Your board is set up for the latter and the jumper is to change that.

So as it is, you need to replace the DALLAS chip or crack it open to replace its internal coin cell.
 
If you look just above your left hand you will see the DALLAS RTC With an Internal Battery. And just below the Keyboard connector
printed on the Motherboard is the information for the Battery Jumpers.

GLITCH has your solution in a replacement part with external battery. I don't have his latest website handy, but searches for GLITCH and
DALLAS or RTC should get you to his website.

Thanks have ordered a replacement. So just to confirm, when a motherboard has a rtc chip I cannot just plug in a 3v battery and holder into the alternate battery area?
 
When said RTC chip has an integrated battery, the connections for the external battery are essentially hidden in the blob of epoxy. You can dig into the epoxy with a Dremel and bring the battery leads out (there are several step-by-step instructions on the web). Often, the latter is performed when the RTC chip is soldered onto a densely-populated board and the prospect of damaging the board by removal is too daunting. Here such a guide
