Well, Rav told me to check this site out and I must say it's pretty darn good. He said I'd probably get off on it, seeing as how I pretty much collect anything computer related. He was right. Here's a list (in no particular order):

  • 333Mhz k6-2 (OC'ed to 350) IBM Aptiva
366Mhz P-II IBM Thinkpad (I'm actually writing this right now on this machine on the patio with a 30ft piece of Cat5 coming from the router out my bedroom window  )
    200Mhz Compaq Deskpro
    133Mhz Compaq Armada 4120T
    Compaq Portable
    Compaq Portable Plus
    Power Macintosh 7100/80
    Power Macintosh 6100/60
    Macintosh LC 475
    Macintosh LC II
    Macintosh LC (x2)
    Macintosh Classic II
    Macintosh Classic (x3)
    Macintosh SE
    Macintosh Plus (x2)
    Macintosh 128k
    Macintosh IIsi
    Macintosh IIfx
    486 IBM Thinkpad 700C
Various assortment of machines from 4.77Mhz 8086 - 133Mhz Pentium I (about 12 or so)
Various bits of software (incl. A/UX 2.03 on 2 binders full of floppy disks with manuals and registration cards!)

I love hardware, and if anyone wants to chat about it, they're welcome to contact me using the info in my profile.

It sounds like you've been bitten by the bug and have built a great collection!

So, isn't it great to have the house networked? I've got a minimum of 2 drops and 2 phones in every room with some rooms having multiple 4-port gang-plates full of Cat-5 and phone.

Long live 100Base-T! :)

But we sorta forgive you I guess! ;-)

You could blow that Pentium I out of yer
Windows, the 8086 is just fine! ;-)

No details of Mr Gates Bank account with
Sig? ;-)

It depends with me, I perfer the ol' hardware
(not this Plug & Pray stuff), hardware is in the
state now where it doesn't matter how crappy
the software is programmed (meaning it's
only going to get worse). Perhas something
perfectily written is what I'm hoping for & in
fact will blow quicker out of the Windows than
itself.

Cheers.

P.S. Welcome! :)
