Hi,
I have an NCR Tower 32/200 ( and 1987-1990 vintage Unix 1.1.x install tapes, and a complete set of user manuals ) which I have had since 1994. Unfortunately NVRAM battery caused damage and the system will boot into SUS BIOS with every other character missing. In this pre-boot environment it does responds to TTY input ( e.g. the "zzz" ) key sequence to skip autoboot.
I would love to get it running again, as its really one of the more unusually packaged Unix desktops.
I am looking for service manuals that go into more detail on POST that might help, or a complete system I could acquire. The HD is still readable and likely could be imaged for someone wanting a known good boot environment, and as mentioned I have a couple versions of the OS install tapes in case they are useful to someone else.
