  • From now on we will require that a prefix is set for any items in the sales area. We have created regions and locations for this. We also require that you select a delivery option before posting your listing. This will hopefully help us streamline the things that get listed for sales here and help local people better advertise their items, especially for local only sales. New sales rules are also coming, so stay tuned.

Need to read an IBM 3363 WORM disk

So, can you read Next Cube Canon MO discs? If so, you're a very rare commodity...
Read and write. In the last two years or so we figured out what was killing them and have been slowly reviving them with relative success. There's a whole thread on the NeXT Computer forums documenting the progress.

Next drives have bad lasers or just bad capacitors?
Capacitors. The lasers are fine.
Also, the NeXT/Canon drives use what I believe is similar to UFS but the blocksize and media type is totally proprietary to everything out there.

Any reason you can't just use a Fujtisu MO drive? Or are the NeXT MO drives super special? I have a couple 2.3GB Fujitsu drives and disks. I love the things, they're awesome. I use them for backing up all my vintage Mac software.

The Canon MO Drive used by NeXT predated the standardization process so the connectors and disk format are different from other MO drives.
