Looking for anyone in the New England area who has experience repairing crt monitors. I have 1 NEC XM29+ that stopped displaying a picture after a botched cap replacement, and its beyond my level of skill. I also have several smaller NEC multisync monitors from Japan that are in varying needs of repair. One powers on with no picture, the others work but are in need of cap replacements, etc to restore geometry. Obviously willing to pay for the repair services, and I would be willing to gift one of the 15" to the person willing to tackle these projects. I'm in Maine but willing to drive if it means getting these rare monitors restored. Thanks!

Have you reached out to the Computer Museum of RI?
They may be able to help.

I'm also a person interested in CRT repair in New England 😁

I contacted these guys in North Reading, MA about a malfunctioning 90s VGA monitor https://videoelectronics.tv/ and they said they could take a look. However the shop is only open on weekdays and until 3pm. Since I don't live close by, I haven't been able to bring it in.

There is also the Byte Shop in Jamaica Plain/Boston MA. https://byteshop.io/ I think the guy who runs it is very accomplished with repairing old computer hardware, the shop apparently has an attached small museum/exhibit with lots of old computers and monitors, all working perfectly, and this shop is often recommended to me if I ask people about local options for CRT monitor repair. I sent an email their way about my malfunctioning CRT, but never heard anything. I don't live close by, so I didn't chase it.

I've contacted the Byte Shop about CRTs in the past...they don't do CRT repair.
