Network backup

It has been some time since I tried, but I was almost certain it was the MS stuff that was tossing the 286 required error on me. Maybe this weekend I can try again and see which piece it was giving the error, and I can see which version of MS-NET I was using (I THINK it was 3.0, but I don't recall).

You can get more info from this MS KB article. The only other thing I can think of is if you tried to run the full director instead of the basic director.

Yeah, I have been using the full redirector, I hadn't realized the basic one would be compatible with the 8086, I never even tried the basic one because I use some of the features of the full one, like domain login, but it would probably be enough to do basic file transfer I suppose since my NAS is NOT part of my domain (its a cheap consumer NAS without that capability).
