A friend of mine gave me a few ISA cards today, one of which was an Olivetti ISA video card. Google didn't turn up much of anything on it. Its sporting a Paradise '88 GPU and is VGA. Anything special about it for an Olivetti machine or is it just a regular video card?

I had one ages ago in an Olivetti 286. There's nothing particularly noteworthy about it from what I can tell.

This machine didn't, however, have a motherboard as such, but a backplane. The CPU was on an ISA card.

Ah, thanks for the info. I haven't really even seen anything Olivetti before and didn't know if there was anything special about it or not.

You may have seen Olivetti stuff and not known it.
For example, the AT&T PC6300 was made by Olivetti.
Maybe it's a card for that.
