One more, IBM 5150 motherboard, 16kb-64kb

I recently bought an IBM 5150 16kb-64kb motherboard. The seller claimed it was non-functional. When I see that in an ad... I'm always suspicious. Here are the photos from the ad.

The curious thing about the ad was that the seller wasn't selling an IBM 5150 motherboard. He was selling a 16kb-64kb motherboard.

The following, which I saw in a video, is not my own idea. I removed the ROM and RAM chips, connected a 5V, 0.5A power supply to the motherboard, and gradually increased the amperage. I touched the motherboard to check if anything was getting hot. I increased the amperage to 1.33A, at which point the voltage remained stable at 5V.

I reassembled the ROM chips. I checked the DRAM, found 9 faulty chips, and replaced them.

( RAM chips of type 4116 are the same as those used in the Apple II )

Looking closely at the photos in the ad, I already suspect it doesn't work.

The Molex power connector had 3 broken pins, two ROM chips were misaligned, and a 4116 memory chip was also misaligned.
