Dear All,
I have bought an Oric Atmos that was supposed working.
I have turned it on the first time with RF connection and I am quite sure that it started the right way (white screen with "something written").
My issue is that the RF output is really awful and anyway after some seconds somewrong happened.
Now I have bought a suitable cable to check with RGB out and I have what you can see in the picture. No chip is overheating.
Do somebody has an idea on where the issue could be?
Thank you

A technical question: is it possible to piggyback a 4164 or a 4264 directly on the back of a 4864, or the two chips must be the same and not only interchangeable?

You'll need to look up the datasheets for the memory chips you have, and the ones you want to use as substitutes. Not all manufacturers used the same pinout, or number of pins.

The three most important are pinout, the internal organization of the memory and the speed rating. You don't want to install a 150 or 200ns chip in a board that needs 80 or 100ns.
