I have the above 5.25" diskette with 'installation' instructions, original envelope with 6 dec 1989 British postmark, technical removal instructions with Dr Solomon's antidote diskette (copy), original Oxford Time newspaper article, and internal communications (faxes etc) from our HQ in UK advising us how to deal with the infection and removal instructions, Airway Bill for shipping of antidote from UK, and Dr Alan Solomon write-up. All originals/original prints
There were 10,000 of these diskettes shipped via a PC magazine mailing list, after the discovering of the trojan a major publicity campaign began advising people to hand in these diskettes to the local authorities/computer societies/destroy them. Having spoken to many AV/Security vendors and several LAw Enforcement cybercrime units; none seem to know of any copies still in existence. It may appeal to Computer Security, Crime collectors, Malware enthusiasts.
Question is: do you know of any other copies still in existence?
Background: Around 1992; I was asked to dispose of it by my boss, but kept it as an example for computer security classes I was teaching at the time. I'm thinking of selling it; with some of my other items Amstrad dual floppy PC, etc; but am trying to determine if any other originals exist and who this may appeal to. I offered to lend it to a renowned Computer Museum, but was advised that insurance policy did not cover loan items and therefore I was willing to donate it to them, they would not be able to display in their museum.
It appeals to me both as a computer collector and security enthusiast - this being the original and only 'ransomware' as we know it today that was actually physically packaged and shipped by it's alleged creator Dr Popp and his alleged associate.

I'm guessing a lot of folks would normally toss infected media like that. It's sort of funny to think of the extra care one takes to keep virus infected media safely labeled and separate from the regular collection. I always found it odd but interesting when magazines and vendors shipped out infected software on CD. Makes you wonder what AV they used or how they justified not using one to begin with.
