i have been watching this item ever since i saw how much the buyer wanted for it, as i wanted to see if anyone would actually buy it for that price.

Several otherwise unremarkable '386 laptops have sold on ebay recently in the $50 - 75.00 range. (And a few very pristine examples have sold for a lot less).
