An update on the Decstation, I've now got it working with a VGA monitor. Also, last night I managed to get it working on my local LAN. I plugged in the ethernet transceiver to the network port on the back. Transceiver was supplied with the machine. I connected it to my router. I then used #netsetup install, to configure the ip address and gateway, a single restart and it's now networked.
I can now ftp to my Windows machine from the Decstation. I downloaded and installed Mosaic which runs in DecWindows. I can now browse to LAN websites but I haven't been able to set up name servers yet.
I also want to start looking at using the floppy drive with DOS formatted disks. Apparently you can use mtools for this, does anyone have any info on that?
