I thought I would share some pictures of the System Monitor Board
project I recently finished.

I've also finished the extender card and I'm in process
of finishing the Eprom/Ram board and 8 slot backplane.

FYI, these boards they are selling are very nice quality !!!
 
Looks fantastic litterbox99! If you have a .docx or .pdf template perhaps I could post it on the S100Computers site for others to use.

First off, no fancy .DXF or .docx, all just a .jpg file.

I scanned the TIL311 PCB into Corel Photo Pro X3, then I reduced the color count, went to grey scale and eliminated
everything that was not needed. I used the silk screen on the solder mask and drew ellipses and filled them as drill guides
for placement of the mounting holes, LED's and switches. I wanted to use my drill press, but for smaller bits they would
wobble in the chuck so I had to do it by hand with a cordless drill (it was amazing that this worked as I have hand tremors
but I got it right the first time!) I started out with a pilot hole 7/64 to get the exact center and finished out with a 7/32
for the LED's and 1/4 for the switches.

Then I scanned in the Imsai front panel film to get the "Imsai 8080 Microcomputer System" and resized it to
fit and pasted it in as a transparent image. I'm not used to working with 'layers' in graphics programs, but
I'm getting the hang of it. When I got a final image, I used the black & white image as a drill template.
I found a few pic's of the Imsai case and took a color sample and used that to fill in the background color, then
I printed it out on a color laser and laminated it. I used a hand punch to make the holes for the LED's, switches
and mounting holes. I placed the laminated image behind the lexan and assembled the display module.


Here's the jpg's I used, I printed them 100% scale. The window for the TIL311's is not correct, I just cut
them out with an exacto knife until I got it correct. I think in the final image I eliminated the window and
just did it freehand.

It works great !

Probably the best project I've completed. It's a great tool for me as
I learn to program and experiment with my Imsai. I much prefer the
hex display for address/data than the binary LEDs on the front panel.

Great learning tool and good quality PCB's !
