Programming a PALCE22V10?

No, PALCEs are flash erasable devices. For example, the datasheet, she say:

The PALCE22V10Z is an advanced PAL ® device built with zero-power, high-speed, electrically-
erasable CMOS technology. It provides user-programmable logic for replacing conventional zero-
power CMOS SSI/MSI gates and flip-flops at a reduced chip count.

Thanks Dave. The chips I have are definitely PALCE22V10 made by cypress. Here’s the datasheet for reference.
I stand corrected. Cypress must have come out with the PALCE parts after my 1991wall chart was published.

As I remember, Cypress was the first company to come out with a CMOS version of the 22V10 in about 1985. They used much less power than the AMD/MMI bipolar parts. Some samples were given to me to test and one of the more complicated designs we programmed into one, showed a latch-up problem in the parts. Cypress asked for the design file and the sample back to test, and soon fixed the issue. Those first CMOS parts came on OTP and UV erasable versions.

I'm glad you had no issues with the GAL parts on your programmer.
