Just got this Dell Inspiron 8000 for cheap, but the hinge was snapped. Definitely can't be fixed with epoxy, had another machine where hinge broke like this a PowerBook g3 Lombard, and tried with epoxy and snapped first time. I can't seem to find a replacement.

I'd throw an offer to this listing, might be able to snag the whole machine with shipping for 25 bux... Uses exact same hinges and other parts.

I found a c800 for around the same price with a few more parts, which is an even more similar machine, same board, GPU, etc

I think that is your best bet, using a donor machine. I found some new hinges on other part sites but they want a fortune.

I found a c800, hinges are better but are very loose, not broken completely but like when apart the hinges pull out of like zamak case of the hinge. Could be fixed with epoxy I read.

Loose can be fixed with some vice grips and a few mins of free time! Be patient, just a 16/th of a turn at a time with some needle nose.

I hate buying a whole machine just for hinges (did that with a ThinkPad R40 years ago), but it's cheaper and you get other parts.
