Sound Blaster IDE Cards Drivers Collection

Hi guys! Since I'm unable to edit my post after a given short period, and since I prefer to update in a single post of all the links, my Vogons post will be regularly updated as I get more files. For the latest updates, please follow my link in my signature. You will find all the latest updates within my single post there.

I will drop by to inform whenever there are new updates available at Vogons.

And also, I am still looking for more drivers/disk images from additional models too - especially the Sound Blaster Pro series and some rare SB16 series like the MCV/MCD editions.

I would like to increase the database in this project, and my main aim is to make these freely available to whomever that requires them. Unlike the recent degradation of Driverguide, I want to maintain these as in current form - "by the community, for the community" as a helping gesture for those who need it.

If not for WolverineDK, my project wouldn't have got this far! :)

Please don't put me on a pedestal , cause I might tip over (I am very heavy and fat), second of all. I do not like to uplifted to god status . I am doing just fine, as a regular member, but becoming a moderator is still okay. If I was "promoted" to that, cause being a moderator is NOTHING to do with being a demigod, it is just being a member with a few extra options, and also moderators are NOT immune either. Even though some dickwads (who are moderators) behaves like they are God all mighty. Which just blows.

yup... thanks.... already know of that german FTP site, that's where I found a lot of the other files lately :)

I looked through the other files on that taiwanese FTP... the SB16 PNP stuff are in chinese, and the SB32 one is a zip of the CD... the vibra ones I've included in the new ISO
 
Revision 4.1 is now complete. This is TRUELY the FINAL release of the compilation! I consider this a "masterpiece". Hope you all enjoy it!

Revision 4.01 will no longer be available.

What has changed:
  • WAVEBLST.ZIP renamed to WB_R2.ZIP
  • WB_R3.ZIP added... revision 3 Wave Blaster (CT1900) disk
  • WAVEBLST directory updated to have revision 3 drivers
  • True SB16 MCD disks added. The MCD*.IMZ files in all earlier releases have now been renamed to SCSI94*.IMZ.
  • Vibra 16 version 1.01 disks added.
  • Vibra 16S disks added.
  • Blaster CD-RW 4224 version 1.36 firmware removed to make 500KB space in order to make the ISO overburnable onto a 700MB CD-R. IMO nobody will miss this because version 1.44 firmware is still in the ISO. No point using an outdated/buggy firmware.
  • Several SF2s zipped to make 2MB more space

ISO is 722MB, the maximum possible for a 700MB Taiyo Yuden CD-R. It may work with other CD-R media, but it is up to you to determine compatibility. Always use simulation mode first before trying on other media. If it errors, then you know it won't work!

Actual data contained is 777MB.

I wanted to make a quick comment that by converting the SB16AWE file from zip to 7z it went from 620mb to 601mb here. Course, I used ultimate settings. At a later point this week I'll be uploading that one and the 3.x-NT one to bittorrent for wider dispersal.
