Tadpole Sparcbook NCE download?

Hi all,
In my continuing journey to restore a Tadpole Sparcbook 3XP to life, I've dicovered that it's hard drive is defunct so I will need to install a new one and Solaris from scratch.
Once the OS is installed, the next step would be to intall the Tadpole Notebook Compute Environment toolkit (NCE), that contains all the tools and drivers specific to the Sparcbook hardware.
NCE was apparently at one time freely downloadable from their FTP site which has sadly been gone for years.

Does anyone have said NCE to share? or could point me to where I could download it?
(I understand there were multiple versions, one for each supported version of SunOs/Solaris).

I didn't see it online anywhere, so I scanned my copy of the NCE User Guide and uploaded it to archive.org. There are probably no surprises in it, but here's the link: https://archive.org/details/nce-user-guide

Hi, sorry to kick a dead thread - but would any of you happen to have the core drivers for the SPARCbook available?

At one point they existed at ftp://ftp.tadpole.com/pub/sbu/S3-patches

and had names like TTI_Solaris_2.6_packages.tar.Z and TTI_Solaris_2.6_patch_bundle.tar.Z.

If you do have them, I'm interested in any/all versions of Solaris drivers for it! Solaris 1.x, 2.x, etc. Or even better, a complete archive of the original FTP site.

I'm the proud owner of a new Sparcbook 3GX with a ZuluSCSI on the way. I have all versions of Solaris media but no drivers/patches for the machine itself.

I found a pile of manuals and other related content and I'll create an online resource for them once I track them down. Thanks!

unfortunately the bit I was looking for (solaris 2.5.1 pcmcia ethernet drivers?) isn't present... wonder where that might be lurking.

still, i'm left wondering why the SB3000 manual mentions pcelx ethernet devices on solaris 2.5.1


from digging around it looks like the SUNWpcelx package showed up in solaris 2.6. perhaps they had a special version preinstalled on the disk?

I have a SPARCBook 3000XT, I reinstalled with the "solaris_2.5.1-d1_tadpole.iso" from the tenox archive.
