believe it or not, most these think pads of this era are like lego's. Just remember when you switch screens, you also have to swap the inverter. You might run into some issues with resolution in dos not being centered if the new panel is larger resolution wise. The 701 butterfly has this issue being upgraded to a 760xd screen. Other then that, windows whatnot works fine and in full screen.

I think this symptom can be easily fixed by swapping the video card with the one that came with the donor lcd.

Also these lvds cables are extremely fragile, that part that leads under the led array bezel. Be very careful. There are 2 screws that hold it in... don't overtighten them or it will warp the header and you'll have tons of artifacts!
