Toshiba T2130CT/520

Hi all i have just aquired Toshiba t2130ct
and i was hoping i could be pointed in the right direction for bios file i can install from floppy disk
also what type of ram modules does this machine use?

If you ask in the portables section (http://www.vcfed.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?47-Handhelds-Portables), they can probably help you out. I'd look on the EU Toshiba website, they seem to like older Toshiba laptops more than the US and JP websites do. Otherwise, I'll take a look and see if I can find it.

According to this, it non-expandable RAM. You're stuck with 8MB. That's a pretty decent amount for a DX4-75 486 CPU.

For future readers of this thread, there is also a T2130CT BIOS in the 1997 dated collection at [here].

According to the extracted README.TXT file (created when executing T213V520.EXE), "BIOS Version 5.20 For: T2110xx Series; T2130xx Series"

Thank you! I remember that the Canadian Toshiba site kept the old stuff alive for a long time, but eventually shut down as well.

For some laptops (such as the T4500/T4600 series), a special "Toshiba DOS" was required to support the built-in RAM disk. Did anyone archive these customized systems?

(My personal annoyance was having to use an English language Toshiba DOS 5.0 with a non-English Windows 3.1. I don't know if Toshiba ever customized Windows.)
