Hi all, picked a T3200SX in great condition recently, however the Conner HDD is failing (it occasionally clunks then spins back up again). I managed to access it and take it out without dismantling the screen, but it wasn't easy!

I know dismantling the screen is the official way to crack these machines open but I don't want to ruin the screen label.

Peeling it off is easy - but how hard is it to stick back on (and not look rough)? Cheers

Either you get lucky with a heatgun/hair dryer... and its still gooey, or you are stuck removing all the old glue with alcohol, goo gone and a scrapper like a guitar pick. Getting it back on is easy with dbl sided tape.

Heat it with a hair dryer, and used a black stick to gently work it free from a corner - then SLOWLY peel it off, be careful not to bend it too much, and do not crease it. It will go right back on like it never happened without much fuss if done right.
