Hello, I have an Epson FX-80 printer which has an additional board which provides a serial interface. It has several switches (8 DIP and one push button), but I don't have a manual. I'm trying to identify the maker, I've attached a picture but Google hasn't found any hits for the several markings on the board which are:
ESP-2000
EA 18143-00
888083
ASSY 888085

If anyone can shed any light on this board it would be appreciated,
Regards,
John

Don't know if this link will help you or not. Different brand, but perhaps the DIP switch had a common pattern between the various brands?

Here are more details from that manual (page 1-14).

Just for the record, I've got a Star Gemini 10X printer, for which I got a Serial intrface card as an 'extra'. I did use this for a while, you can swap the printer between the two interfaces by moving a cable inside.

The SIO card is a Gemini branded device, for use with the 10X or the 15X.

There is a little manual for the card, 16 pages, approx A6 size.

The DIP settings seem to be fairly different, although the same 3 seem to be used for the Baud Rate. BUT the settings for those seem to be different, and the options are not even the same (regarding the slowest speed).
