UDS-10 help

Hello, I just got a Lantronix UDS-10 after hearing how it can emulate a modem and get retro computers onto the internet. How is this done? I'm confused on how to configure it to work properly. I am running Windows 95 on a laptop, and my other pc has the Device Installer software and can see the device. I would like to be able to be able to use Netscape to browse the Internet, if it's possible. Thanks!

Hi there,

Most of the time, people use the UDS devices to connect to telnet BBSs, not to the actual Internet. In order to connect it the way you like, you'd also have to have some other type of software running on both the Win95 machine and another Internet connected computer.

Honestly, you'd be best off finding an old Ethernet card to setup in the Win95 computer. The UDS-10 will probably not work well for your purpose.
