OK, I cant do the 11/40 (yet), but I am looking for advice on the licence for level6/level 7 "bell" unix.
In 74 I got a tape from bell - through my employers at that time. Went up to Glasgow uni, who had a much bigger system with a wider range of peripherals. If memory serves me correctly the Polish "systems admin" Strav Pedolsi(sp) took the 9 track and wrote it onto our disk pack. From there we had great fun.
I have a few project froms forty year ago I want to finish ;-) There were some device drivers that I never got to work correctly. I may have the skills now.
Is there any way to - legitimately - get hands on sources/binaries from those eras?
I did find a few links a year or two ago "?Caldera?" granting licence under some conditions, but these links dont work any more. Emails to the web-contact are not getting me anywhere?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
