VT320 problems solved

Replacing the driver and DUART ICs fixed the printer port but not the DEC423 port. With the terminal connected to the computer I discovered that if push the plug in and up (and hold it in place) it makes connection and the terminal works as it should. I then did some connectivity checks with the cable alone and plugged into the terminal. The connections are not being made with the DEC423 port although they are with the printer port. So I need to replace the PCB rt angle mmj jack on the terminal board. Finding mmj plugs is easy. Finding mmj jacks not so much. Finally found a place that had the jacks available in quantity 50! If anyone out there has one or two available it would be greatly appreciated.

This may be heresy, but why not use the opportunity to replace the MMJ jack with a normal 6P6C jack? Then you will not need to buy the 50-pack of MMJ plugs.

Got hold of mmj jack and replaced the faulty one. Everything is fine!! Now I can go on to my next problem involving floppy drives. Stay tuned!!
