Just had a very large box of disks arrive, for the Wang Professional, Wang VS, and PC200/PC300 series computers. Normally I wouldn't list things like this, but being a semi-obscure set of machines, finding original stuff for these is quite a challenge.
I wont link their contents here (except maybe the setup/driver disks) but wanted to list what I have here and am planning to image in case anyone else is restoring or comes across a Wang PC in the future. I think it's also kind of interesting to know what the machines came with and what options were common.

I've tried to group them between the PC compatibles, Wang Professional, Wang VS, and "Not Sure"

Looking for Wang WLOC software

Looking for Wang WLOC software

Hi,

I am Jaap and found your software inventory.

I have this Wang VS-65 with a data storage cabinet. I would so much like te see this working again, but I don't have any WLOC software. I have this 286 pc with a WLOC extension card, but no WLOC software.

For some time, I have been looking for MS-DOS wloc software.

Could you provide a copy of this software for me please? That would be so great!
:)

Kind regards,
Jaap Buitelaar
The Netherlands

Dear Jaap,
Just saw your message regarding WLOC Software.
I do have a number of WANG VS Terminals and could send one over if that would help you resurrect your VS System.

Yours,
Martin v. Hauff
Germany

Dear Martin,

Well, that would also solve my problem. I'd really appreciate it. Can we get in touch about the conditions?
If you are close to NL, I might be able to pick it up ?

Kind regards,
Jaap

Dear Jaap,
I'm in Mannheim, Germany, so a couple of hours off, but not all too far.
Why don't you send me a message by email for the details. My email is: martin@vonhauff.de

Much rather than money I'd be looking for expertise in getting my VS Systems running again, so if possible I'd rather trade for some time and advice of yours than making a buck.

Yours,

Martin

I have some old 5.25 disks presumably used on a Wang PC circa 1988. I have imaged the disks and can see a lot of formatted text. What is the best way to reformat? Can the Wang environment be emulated and this Integrated Word Processing software ran?

Thanks.

I have two Wang professional Computers (PC-XC4 machines) that I want to restore to their former glory.
However, I have zero software and zero documentation on these beasts.

I would love to get some copyies or images of the earlier mentioned dikettes...
Anything would help

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeers and be safe

I am in a similar boat. A PC005 (001 with factory upgrades) made its way into my hands but I have no software. I have proven I can use an IBM-PC with DSDD drive to make disks that work as I managed to boot into MS-DOS.
