I have a few threads around about small little bits but figured I'd gather a thread together for general Western Electric documentation, both to highlight some stuff spread out there on the net currently as well as to share future scans and findings. So first some interesting stuff I think is worth aggregating together for the 3A processor:
3A Processor Description: https://telecomarchive.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/docs/bsp-archive/254/254-300-100_I1.pdf
"This section describes the physical and general operational characteristics of the 3A Processor used in a variety of control and processing systems."
3A Central Control - Control Panel Functional Description: https://telecomarchive.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/docs/bsp-archive/232/232-309-102_I1.pdf
"This section provides a functional description of the 3A Central Control (3A CC) and the 3A CC control panel. The 3A CC contains all the necessary logic required to direct and control the processing and handling of data within the No. 2B Electronic Switching System (ESS)."
3A Central Control - Command Manual: https://telecomarchive.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/docs/bsp-archive/SPCS/PK-1C901-01_I1.pdf
"This specification describes all the commands in the 3A CC instruction set so that the programmer may select the instructions best suited to the task being programmed. The manual contains a detailed description of each instruction and the conditions that must be set up prior to their use. The approximate time interval required to execute each command is supplied for each."
3A Extended Operating System Overview: https://telecomarchive.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/docs/bsp-archive/254/254-340-001_I1.pdf
"This section provides a system overview of the Extended Operating System (EOS) which executes on the 3A Central Control (3A CC). The EOS is a general purpose operating system designed to support real-time, multitasking applications. It supports applications by acting as a resource manager of the processor, the peripheral devices, memory, and data base. The EOS supports system reliability through duplication and provides the basic maintenance structure in the form of automatic reconfiguration, initialization, audits, and diagnostics."

3A Central Control Control Panel - Schematic Diagram: https://telecomarchive.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/docs/bsp-archive/SD/SD-1C901-01_I4D.pdf
Several source code listings for 3A software can be found here: https://www.telecomarchive.com/spcs.html
Between this and the other documentation I've seen floating around on the 3A processor, it might actually be feasible to reconstruct such a system, at least the computational bits.
