Who knows something about the old NEC PC-6001A around here?

At the risk of blowing my own horn, I made a couple posts about the PC-6001 recently on my blog.

First one up is my (very rough) conversion of the A8PicoCart to the NEC PC-6001. It can load 16K ROMs, although it doesn't yet support the USB flash drive functionality of PicoCart, nor does it support RAM expansion. In the future, I want to emulate some of the I/O ports for common peripherals. I'm going to do a little bit more work on this so it can at least be the equivalent to a PC-6011 RAM/ROM expansion.

This week I published a post about doing bitmap graphics on the PC-6001's 6847. The attribute stuff is not what I expected from reading the CoCo documentation!

Late last year I did a Meanwell power-supply conversion on a really beat up unit with a melted cord. I still have some mounting plate PCBs left around here, so let me know if you want one.
