Well, I'm too poor to buy my own new system, but my 128MB/550MHz system is just slightly outdated, so I'm trying to slowly upgrade it. I have a PSU, Motherboard, and Pentium 4 processor, but I'm having immense difficulties procuring the other parts I need lately.
Give me a price, and I'll see if I can pay it ;)
1) ATi AGP video card (X1000 or better)
2) 1GB of DDR memory

Thanks!

What kind of mobo, specs, etc.? Check out these url's for starters:

If you jump into ebay you should be able to fulfill your shopping list for next to nothing. There are people here on the forum that help you with the hardware.

Use the below thread and post what you think you'll need:

In the office, we regularly thrown out machines FASTER than that...
Ooooh... lucky :) Snag me one?

Thanks for all the help, guys. I will definitely keep those links close for after Christmas when I'll (hopefully) have a bit of spending money!

Edit: @AgentOrange I think I might get a chastising (or however you spell it) for posting in the "Vintage Computer Items Wanted" forum for something that is decidedly not vintage ;) though more people probably read that forum than this one.

you missed the window by about a week. e-recyclers came by last week and haul three bins of the stuff away.
here in the orifice, we regularly reduces perfectly good machines into non functional ones by ripping out cpu and ram (but curiously leaves hd untouched) then sit on the cpu and ram until they're obsolete, then toss them too. never figure out why we do that, we just do. I think I am sitting on some p3, p4, celerons and several xeon processors, sdram, slow ddr, rdram etc., and I can only guess what other departments are sitting on. the recycle bins frequently have good server motherboards and workstation boards, drive subsystems, etc.
