Irritating ads posted by bogus users - priceless

Or you could just hit the Red Triangle on the far top Right-
hand side of the post - which is a report button.

Not sure to be honest (you'll have to ask Erik) - a Thankyou
message would be nice though! :)

Not sure if it adds 1 post to your name either (I'll check
next time) perhaps it subtracts for being a dobber?

It sends the moderator an email so they know the bad post is there without having to take a look at the forum. I am a moderator on another forum and it is useful for me. It reduces the time that an ugly post stays up.

...Yeah, sounds kinda pointless to me. I don't know about everyone else, but I have a bookmark on my bookmark toolbar which leads directly to "http://vintage-computer.com/vcforum/search.php?do=getdaily". Basically, it does the same thing as the "Today's Post" button in the "Quick Links" tab.

The ads stand out. They're the only threads w/ the "$" sign in them. I think taking the time to actually read an email about spam that sticks out would be a waste of time.

The mods don't get cranky about much, except meaningless posts. ;-0

I know it can't be implemented for privacy reasons, but if the forum software had a feature that told me as an user that "someone else has reported this message", I would know there is no need for me to do it as well.
