i want to put a 80 gig ata-6 drive in my toshiba 400cdt to replace the 2 gig eide drivethat died only thing is it thinks the drive is 16 megabytes any way to trick it into seeing the drive at the size it is?

check to see if there is a bios update on toshiba's site. They usually have excellent files for all their machines. Just don't try to call :p Off the top of my head, there ya go. I can't comment on the ata stuff, though. Too new for me.

well lots of disk managers and the whole ms dos 6.22 not supporting fat32 so using 7.1 and then having problems with 3.11 not liking that issues. i have finally worked out all the kinks and now i have a windows 3.11 computer with an 80 gigabyte harddrive. just thinking about all the games i could put on it :D and usefull school stuff to . i really want to use it to play music though but can only get it to play Cd's :( so need to find a program to pull the songs off the cd and play them.
