You know, it just slipped my mind!
Hi guys, been a while since I posted.

I'm going on a trip, and have been hankering to try out this neat little setup I have; A Super Nes hooked to a portable TV via f-type to rca adapter, and the thing I'm hoping to use to convert the snes power to the car supports no higher than 5 watts. Rather than risking it, can anybody tell me if this is plausible?

I don't know what a snes draws, but look at the specs first (probably will be on the label on the back) and you need to use an adapter of at least that wattage (volts X amps = watts)

After a quick look, 10V @ 800mA or so that's 8W, but...

If it's a linear regulator off the car, it's dropping from 14V to 9 or 10V @ 800mA so that's 3 or 4 Watts. It stands a chance depending on how the regulator is specced!

Try it at home first with a fire extinguisher handy!
