I'm thinking about building a classic computer around a Ferguson Big Board (homebuilt case and p/s), but I don't know how rare the boards are. I could use a Kaypro board since it's considered an unofficial Big Board clone, but how much is a real Big Board or Big Board II?

thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,

I have a Ferguson Big Board which I got going in 1981, IIRC, with 4MHz Z80 and 2 8" drives, and also a Ferguson Big Board II, but never got built up to a complete system.

I don't know where you are. I am in Sydney Austraila. If you are local, I would be happy to help out. I have a lot of other collected stuff I need to get rid of, hopefully to someone that will use it. (mix of PDP/LSI 11, CP/M docs and S-100 HW)

Hi, i read your post. I'm a bit far from you... in Italy. Anyway pls take a look to my website http://elazzerini.interfree.it about Ferguson BigBoard 1 and http://enricolazzerini.interfree.it about Microcornucopia Magazine. Would you give a description, photos of your systems and any useful info or stuff? For example i'm looking for SWP Double Density manua or schematic, and of course about any addons. Thanks Enrico - Pisa - Italy
