Latest micro: Atari 130XE

An Atari 130XE was donated to me a few days go. It's not a model I was seeking, but it works, it's tidy and so I'll keep it.

I've added it to my collection and have written a few observations on it on my website.

Nice! Free stuff is the best!

And the Atari 8-bits are nice computers. I've sold off all mine, but they are fun machines.

Yeah you can't beat the price of "free!" I agree with you Tez about the keyboard (this is referencing the post on your website), it is kind of spongey feeling, I prefer the 800's keyboard myself. But I do like the look of the 130XE and it's a nice computer to have on hand to play "Star Raiders", a personal favourite of mine.

At least the 130XE takes a little less space on the desk than an 800XL does. It is a bit deeper but not as wide. I just packed away my 800XL in its box so I only have a loose 130XE to play with. In a similar way, I just packed away both my boxed C64s, leaving a loose C128 and a C128D for play. Well, a loose SX-64 too although NTSC.
