Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker for a while but kind of new at posting here. I'm currently in the process of clearing out my massive collection of items due to various economic and spatial reasons. If you need something, I probably have it. I'll be listing items here as time goes on and I'll be bumping the thread (and hopefully able to change the title to reflect the content).

Just off the top of my head:

* $10 each: many external modems (serial port)
* $10 each: a few internal modems (PCI / ISA)
* $10 each: I have about 64 *brand new/still in static bags* 16bit ISA DEC NICs w/ BNC+AUI ports (I forget the model but probably DE-220s).
* $10 each: I have about 32 *brand new/still in static bags* 16bit ISA SMC NICs w/ BNC+AUI ports (I forget the model but WD80x3 compatible).

Some other items I'm going to be listing:
* A Zenith Minisport laptop with professionally replaced PSU SMD capacitors with tantalums (includes MicroDrive and disks, external 3.5" disk drive, all docs, etc.)
* A DECsystem 5100 (server, not station) with a faulty PSU (replacement available online). Very rare unit. Immaculate condition because it was in a clean-room. Includes 2 original DEC HDDs and RAM.
* Entire PC units: mostly 386-486, brand names (ex: IBM)
* A number of working XT/286/386/486/586/P2/P3 motherboards
* A collection of ISA cards
* CPUs and RAMs
* G3 and below Macs or parts (ex: Q650/850 motherboard, IIfx motherboard, lots of Duos + docks etc., some very rare cards)
* Sun stations (various kinds, including a rare ELC unit)
* NeXT stations and cubes
* Commodore 8bit (3x C128, one with JiffyDOS and custom toggels, Plus/4 + 1531 Datassette drive, Vic20, 3x Vic-1520 printers, 1571 drive, all but the C128s are boxed)
* Atari stuff (520STfm w/ 1MB RAM, 520STfm w/ 2.5MB ZRAM upgrade, capable of 4MB, some other items)
* Amiga stuff
* Various hard disks (I've kept some RLL/MFM boards and parts - hopefully I can find them)
* Lots of rare software packages
* Some nice vintage manuals/books

I'm also interested in some trades, but very specific things (currently I'm in an Amiga/NeXT phase).

Please feel free to ask me any questions, or for photos, details, etc., or make offers.

LINUX:
-----------
I have the following Yellow Dog Linux which is a great start with Linux on a Macintosh (and even running Mac OS under Linux with the "Mac On Linux" emulator package):

$15 Yellow Dog Linux version 4.0 (just the install+source CDs)

COMPATIBILITY NOTES:
Works in all PPC/PowerPC Macs but for OldWorld ROM computers (systems older than iMac: e.g. beige G3, 8500s, Performa PowerPCs, and 7200s), you must use the BootX loader which requires Mac OS in order to function. So basically, you must have Mac OS installed as well, while with NewWorld ROM computers you can have just Linux installed. If you have any questions, just ask me, I'll explain how it works.

* Note: you can download various Linux distributions from the internet, but there's a lot more involved into getting one onto a correctly-working bootable CD without corrupt files, and you also won't have hard copies of the manuals and the original discs themselves, which make things a lot easier during installation and usage.

Welcome and glad you've decided to post some more. Certainly sounds like an interesting collection of systems you have and look forward to seeing what you post :)

@all:

I've added some Mac stuff, Sun stuff, book sets, and some software packages. Let me know what interests you.

@per:
It'll take some time, but I'll do so.

@Unknown_K:
I added some vintage Mac cards including a NuBus item.

@EddieDX4:
I'll try to add the x86 systems, but it'll take some time as they're buried in various boxes. Ah, yes, the Zenith, an awesome laptop! It's all for sale so just PM me about anything!

Thanks for the list, seems like I have the stuff you have (serveral Thunder/24's along with the rare 8MB Gworld RAM upgrade, a complete 6100 Dos compatible setup, and the Pentium 166 Apple card in a 7500). If you stumble onto anything else let me know.

Some of the books do look interesting, will need to see which ones I have.

I have a DOS compatible 6100 series but I'm lacking the video break-out cable for it... :(

I'd get the one da9k's selling, but I actually upgraded that machine with a faser PPC card already, which I believe displaced the DOS card in the slot. :rolleyes:

Depends, some PPC cards give you a PDS passthrough. I have a generic 6100 and the one with the DOS card that has PC compatible printed on the front of the case. The external cable is needed to be of use, which I have (got it first actually and the DOS card came free locally).

I added some more PC goodies (ISA cards and VL BUS cards - all quite rare). Also a rare NuBus card and a super item: first run Mac 128K motherboard.

I'm VERY interested in the NeXT stuff, although money is really tight right now.

I have a NeXTstation by itself, so I need all of that wonderful proprietary stuff, I also would love a cube. What all do you have?
