According to one unreliable source, there is an article by Ward Christensen, page 150 of the November 1978 issue of BYTE.

Of course, I don't have it.

Could someone confirm?

If true, could he copy this historical article?

(Ward Christensen invented XMODEM. Without him, you would not read this.)

Yours Sincerely,
Mr. Emmanuel Roche, France

Nobody invents anything, they discover it, if he didn't discover it, someone else would of.

Ok. Many thanks: Yes, this is the text that I read... many years ago.

I saw that you also host a text about the famous Heathkit EC-1 analog computer. I have also retyped everything interesting that I could find on the "Combyna GP-6 Analog Computer". I published it on the sci.electronics.basic Newsgroup. You can host it, if you want.

Yours Sincerely,
Mr. Emmanuel Roche, France

If someone is interested, the text of the Ward Christensen article where he explains the history of XMODEM has been retyped and is available upon request. Size: 30KB.

Yours Sincerely,
Mr. Emmanuel Roche, France
